favourably, and in the exercise of your prerogative allow the payment to me of the salary of the office of Acting Police Magistrate in accordance with rule 2:108 from the date of my appointment to the office.

In conclusion I beg to state for Your Lordship's information that the Governor was unable, for reasons which His Excellency will doubtless explain to your Lordship, to grant me any ... on the premises, any rebate ... I am therefore reluctantly constrained to appeal to Your Lordship to exercise your prerogative in the matter.
