3. The present Hong Kong Corinthian
Sailing Club has existed for
a considerable number of years, and
been largely supported by residents in Hong Kong who take an interest
in yacht racing and
"The Club holds weekly regattas
throughout the winter
and all racing in these regattas is carried
under rules of the Yacht Racing Association of England.
During last winter twenty-seven such regattas
were held and there was
an average entry of ten yachts
to these meetings.
I would point out that Hong Kong is
one of the few British
Colonies where yacht sailing & racing
is carried on,
which does not enjoy
the privileges
peculiarly
appertaining to
a maritime colony, it being
during
the last three years
it has
been
hoped
