318 cases are cie with brought before the Corn- with a view to their suspen- sion, and if the Members of the Executive Council are of opinion that, in the present instances, in view of the Chief Justice's recommendation, a curatier punish- ment than dismissal, say reduction by one-sixth of each officer's salary coupled with a warning that any further mis- conduct will entail dismissal, will sufficiently meet the case, I shall be prepared to accept such advice.
I shall be obliged if the Members will be so good as to favour me with their written opinions.
