I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of our instant reporting the circumstances under which Case No. 1164 of 1895 was excluded from the Summary Jurisdiction official cause list for last Friday week, and the minutes by the Registrar and letters of explanation from certain officers of the Court in reference to the exclusion of the case.

It appears from these papers that it was the duty of Mr. Sales to prepare and submit a correct list for the Registrar's signature on the previous Thursday to be posted to the Court House door by 4 p.m. on that day; owing to Mr. Sales' absence Mr. Raimian prepared an incorrect list to which the Registrar's signature was obtained, and delayed the posting of the list until the following morning; and that Mr. Brown was cognizant of the alteration of the list, and the Broker of the Court guilty of certain irregularities in connection with the part payment of the amount including costs due in the case in question. It is not quite clear who is responsible for seeing that these lists are posted in proper time, though I gather that Mr. Sales is supposed to be responsible: in future the responsibility should be definitely...
