altered the list and delayed its publication.
(2) That Mr. Sales whose duty it was to prepare a correct list for the Registrar's signature had improperly allowed the list to be so altered.
(3) That Mr. Brown, the Bailiff of the Supreme Court had been cognizant of the alteration and failed to report it.
(4) That the shroff had been guilty of certain irregularities in connection with the pay- ment of the amount due, including costs, in the case in question.

In accordance with the recommendation of the Chief Justice the case against Mr. Brown and the Shroff was disposed of by his administering a censure and warning conveyed in my letter which forms in the enclosure No 2 of this despatch. The cases of Messrs Rahman and Sales however appeared to me to be too serious to be similarly dealt
