detailed in the annexed schedule relating to certain charges preferred against Mr Rahman, Clerk to the Registrar and Hindustani Interpreter in the Supreme Court, and Mr Sales, Clerk and Writer in the same Department. They comprise a copy of the minutes of Council, and of all the correspondence and written statements connected with the charges.

On the 3rd instant the Chief Justice reported to me by enclosure W. I the circumstances under which case No 1164 of 1893 was excluded from the Summary Jurisdiction official Cause List for the Friday of the preceding week, and forwarded a minute by the Registrar on the subject and letters of explanation by certain officers of the Court in relation thereto. From the Chief Justice's letter it appeared: (1) That Mr. Rahman for his private ends had both improperly altered
