general name of Colonial Court of Admiralty

is used in the act to meet the

varying circumstances

of the

Courts in

different Colonies

on

which the

jurisdiction

is conferred, not this

does not amount to the

creation of a

new

Court

called the Colonial

Court of Admiralty

in each Colony to be

the effect of that act is simply

the addition of a new jurisdiction to an existing

Court,

whatever

that Court

may be called. In

Hong Kong,

as in many other Colonies, this Court

is the Supreme Court,

and Admiralty proceedings

are to be taken

in the Supreme Court in its Admiralty jurisdiction,

and are to be disposed of by

it as part of its ordinary

functions.

3. As the work in this

branch of the Supreme Court would be

performed by the Judge

and the officers of that Court, all fees taken in respect of the work should
