From the terms of Lord Knutsford's circular despatch of the 20th September 1890 it is clear that so long as the present occupants of the posts of Deputy Registrar and Marshal of the Colonial Court of Admiralty continue to hold those posts, they should receive their customary share of the fees, or the equivalent thereof.

It is, I think, equally clear that the present Chief Justice and Registrar of the Supreme Court, who are the Judge and Registrar respectively of the Colonial Court of Admiralty, should be similarly treated as long as they hold their present offices, inasmuch as those offices were offered and accepted without any intimation of ...
