The amended statement of revenue and expenditure shews a surplus of revenue over expenditure chargeable against the revenue of the year of $118,079, but it should be borne in mind that 1892 was in several respects quite an exceptional year as regards revenue, and that it would not be safe to take it as a guide for the future. In 1892 the revenue was benefited in an exceptional manner by $20,000 on account of the sale of the lazaretto to the Military authorities, and by $60,000 on account...
