if he please, make at different times annually surprise visits not exceeding three, as is done in England;
following out that the custom there, he should be accompanied round the College by the Head Master, of whom he can ask any question or seek explanation.
1141 That the Head Master's Half-yearly Examination be so timed as to be concluded before the last fortnight of term (our par. 7).
(10) In conclusion I have the honour respectfully to appeal to that sense of justice, to which His Excellency referred at the Prize Distribution at Victoria College last February "The only desire of the Government is to do full justice to all schools, and to give all parties fair play." and to entreat that he will be pleased to consider, how best his own College may be spared indignities and severities, which do not fall to the lot of grant-in-Aid Schools of the Colony.
