I have the honour to apply for such absence leave of I may be entitled to from the beginning of next year, by which time My Lockhart will have presumably returned from leave.
Under ordinary circumstances I should not have applied for leave till 1895,
but, as the Secretary of State has stated that he intends, if possible, to transfer me to another Colony, I trust
