sufficient quantity. The You
is received
freely
there
anywhere else
at and near Fatshan, and its use is said to
be also
extending in the Canton Province.
The making of the
You a legal tender in Hong
Kong would in
all likelihood
have a tendency to induce
its circulation in the neighbouring
and
adjoining parts of China.
The
constant traffic between
Hong Kong and the land would bring
about
a much greater use
of it
gradually
in the
interior.
It would be
a matter of convenience for the people
themselves; the Chinese
Government would be under no
pressure to bear
on their
other
