Captain Superintendent of Police reporting that Public Gambling on any large scale has practically been suppressed in this Colony.

The assistance which the Captain Superintendent refers to in the last paragraph of his letter is the exercise of the power vested in the Governor in Council of ordering the banishment of professional swindling gamblers and other persons dangerous to the peace of the Colony.
