The only objections, apart from the undesirability of reducing at present the available amount of silver in the Colony, that I am aware of to the above course are that the contributors to the Praya reclamation fund deriving 4% interest on the amount to the credit of their contributions is bearing a lower rate of interest in whatever investment the Crown Agents may be able to find for it; and that, if exchange goes up, the number of their dollars will be reduced when the proceeds of the investment are brought back to the Colony.
