That I have not been promoted, neither has the office which I hold received an increase of 14% or any increase on the salary of 1890. Also that my name was on the original list of officers entitled to the privilege of the higher rate, and that I received no intimation that on account of having joined since 1890 I should be liable to forfeit this privilege.
