Enclosure

General,

the enclosed copy of the

a minute by the Director of Public Works having reference to a letter received by the Local Auditor in

reply to

the report on the subject of the Stores Accounts of this

Colony, forwarded to Your Lordship under cover

of my despatch No. 75 of the 27th of March last. The objections raised by the Director of Public Works to adopting the sub-head "Labour" appear

to me to be reasonable and

practical, and I hope that in view of them the Comptroller and Auditor General may

see fit not to press for its adoption.

I have the honour to be, My Lord Marquess,

Your Lordship's Most Obedient

Humble Servant,

William Ro*t*tings -> William Robinson (likely OCR error, "Rottings" is not a known historical figure, while "Robinson" is plausible)

becomes

I have the honour to be, My Lord Marquess,

Your Lordship's Most Obedient

Humble Servant,

William Robinson
