His gross pay service was 16 yrs. 6m. 19days. His total half pay leave was 2 yrs. 1 month which is irredeemably Resident service 14 yrs. 5 months so that the half pay under one category of leave is well Resident service. No deduction is to be made in respect of half pay leave.
W. O'Brien has correctly calculated the share of climate bonus, as 2 yrs. 7 months, which added to 16 yrs. 6m gives 19 yrs. 2 months pensionable service, this under S. 15.1 makes the pension (12 + 12/20) of $6000 = $1900 + 16.66 = $1916.66.
Sanction that pension, payable from Hong Kong funds from 20th Oct., at 4/2 the Dollar.
