My Lord Marquess,

I have the honour to transmit for the signification of Her Majesty's pleasure the following Ordinance entitled:-

"An Ordinance to make provision for regulating the prevention of the importation and keeping of dogs and the spread of rabies."

2. The customary Report by the Attorney General is annexed, and I need only add that the necessity for the Ordinance has unfortunately been demonstrated by several recent cases of rabies in the Colony. The Ordinance was passed unanimously by the Legislative Council.
