and that it has not been found possible to obtain a qualified man locally as hitherto been done.

I have therefore to request that Your Lordship will be good enough to issue the necessary instructions for the engagement in England of a properly qualified Wardmaster on the salary and conditions stated in the enclosed Paper of Particulars in anticipation of the vacant office.

The salary is provided for in the Estimates for the current year.
