I am entitled under the provisions of the pension minute of the 2nd December 1891 and 18th February 1893 to an allowance of £300 per annum in addition to my pension.

Further sixty years' service is Compulsory under the provisions of the 18th of the pension Minute though not applied to be retained although in my letter to the Hon'ble Colonial Treasurer of the 29th November last I expressed my willingness to continue.

I beg to hand your Lordship the Copy Correspondence that preceded my retirement and I most humbly submit to you Lordship that my actions do not justify the Conclusion that I am either incapable or inefficient. The work given to me to do has always been well and carefully done and I had more than justified my retention in the service or additional work. If I had been invalided I would have done so.
