Office in connection with the frauds at the General Post Office, (2) whether in view of the fact that he joined the service on the 7th April, 1879, he should be allowed as an act of grace to reckon a term of full fourteen years for the purposes of his pension, and (3) whether any addition should be recommended to the pension so calculated as in the case of the late Mr F.V.Ribeiro, clerk in the Audit Office, whose office was abolished on his retirement.
The Council decided (1) that no reduction be recommended, (2) that the period of service should be taken as 14 years, and (3) that no addition be recommended, inasmuch as there were no circumstances in the case to justify such a recommendation.
