houses do not tally with the areas in the Crown Leases. The tenants have not claimed as squatters for such portion of their building as overlap the boundaries of their leases and are probably not aware that such overlapping exists. Under the Ordinance they are precluded from leases before the Board, but it would not be fair to treat them as trespassers under section 13 of the Ordinance. The Board therefore recommends that adjustment of these Crown Leases should be made by the Land Office with the assistance of the Survey Department and the Public Works Department so as to make the areas leased correspond as nearly as possible with the existing buildings. Dated this 14th day of September 1892.
