Recommends grant of $150
and that such grants from the Charitable Allowances Vote be no
longer subject to sanction by Secretary of State.

I think these grants might be within limit, without previous reference
to the Secretary of State. If I remember
right, it was insisted upon, the reference because so many grants
were made.
It appears this gratuity, say
that in future, previous reference need not be made to the Secretary of State, where the grant is less than $300 [£50], but that in past years
the grants were rather too numerous.
& it is hoped the establishment...
