The particulars, as received from the Colonial Surgeon, have therefore been altered so as to show one increment only of $120 after 3 years' service.
Mr. Lucas' agreement does not expire till the 16th of February, but I have allowed him to resign at the end of this month on the ground of private affairs. He has given great satisfaction in the performance of his duties.
