19. Computation, by the Colonial Treasurer, of the Pension, &c.

I certify that the pension to which may be paid to the Applicant according to the Rules of the Colonial Service, amounts to Two thousand three hundred and sixty-eight dollars.

and I base my Certificate on the following calculation :

The applicant entered the service on the 16th of August, 1888, as 2nd Clerk & Accountant in the Treasury. Upon the resignation of the 1st Clerk & Cashier on January 18th, 1890, he was promoted to that post and remained to the present moment. His services heretofore extend over a period of upwards of 4 years. He was never absent on half-pay leave, therefore no deduction is made on his resident service.

The pension assignable at ordinary rates is $2,368 per annum, being 40/60th of his emoluments of $3,552.
