Dear Sirs,
Messrs. M. Samuel's Petroleum Tanks. Referring to your enquiry relative to the site property at Hongkong being endangered by the erection of Tanks for the storage of Petroleum as indicated in the plan, we have to state that in our opinion neither buildings, ships, nor other property at the Port of Hongkong – which would be nearly three miles distant - would be much at risk from the burning of the proposed Petroleum Depot.
