See minutes on 8262, from which there is no doubt that Mr. Russell's pension is same as half pay. As his successor is on the point of being appointed, let Mr. J. Russell's retirement count from date of his vacation leave, viz. from 8th inst., inclusively. Authorise Agents to pay him pension at rate of $6000 at 4½ per dollar from that date.
