As is now

(as laid down in clause 13

of the new Hong Kong Pension Minutes), that an addition to pension is made in case of permanent injury received by officers in the course of duty when the retirement is thereby materially accelerated, & when the officer's capacity to contribute to his support is impaired or destroyed.

Your application for pension did not in any way indicate that your retirement was in any degree consequent on the injury, which you received 12 years previously & which could not therefore be regarded as having impaired your capacity to support yourself.
