The statement of Assets and Liabilities shows an excess of Assets over Liabilities of $231,198 as compared with $399,732 at the close of the year 1890.
I have not been furnished with any statement of the outstanding arrears of Taxes amounting to $76,000, but I am informed that they principally consist of the arrears of the Praya reclamation fund.
The arrears of Opium Licences amounting to $50,000 is covered by a Deposit of $80,000.
