At the close of the year the Statement of Assets and Liabilities of the Colony showed an excess of assets over Liabilities of £231,178.

The Revenue for the year 1891, as stated above, amounted to $2,025,303, being $26,795 less than was estimated, but was £30,083 more than the Revenue of 1890, which amounted to $1,995,220.
