presume that any saving on this $10,000 lapses to the Colony? If so, there is no great point in pressing for the reduction from $1000 to $10000 to soon, as the Audit Office is not likely to be extravagant, even if it has a little money to spare.
I should be inclined, in the face of this, to let the matter drop.
