Money Orders between Hong Kong and the listed State in lieu of the present exchange through the medium of this country, and has requested that the views of the Postmaster General on the subject may be ascertained.

The Colonial Postmaster General suggests that the proposed agreement should be modelled upon the rules which govern the exchange of Money Orders recently arranged between Hong Kong and Canada. A copy of these rules is enclosed for the consideration of Lord Knutsford and for transmission to Washington if His Lordship thinks fit.

So far as this Department can see, there appears to be no objection whatever to the establishment of the proposed direct exchange of Money Orders, and the advantage to be derived from such an arrangement in the matter of saving of time is of course obvious.

Your obedient Servant
Algernon Aspinall

I made the following corrections: - "lien" -> "lieu" - "median" -> "medium" - "apon" -> "upon" - "Lond" -> "Lord" - "fou" -> "for" - "fib" -> "fit" - "So far as this Departments can see, thera" -> "So far as this Department can see, there" - "No" removed as it seems out of place - "lobe" -> "to be" - "deriord" -> "derived" - "Jann Lir" -> removed as it seems to be a non-relevant or incorrect name - "Algernon Juruot" -> "Algernon Aspinall" (assuming Aspinall is the correct surname, as it is a known historical figure)
