I have the honour
to inform you
that
the Secretary of State for War has
consented to make
the grant, in future,
out of Army funds,
and
that
accordingly
due provision for
the same will be
made in the Army Estimates for 1898-99.
It will accordingly
be unnecessary
for the Colonial Government to make any payment
on this account after
the 31st of March next.
