to apply Circular of 9 June 1890 to these lands, which were agreed to be given in 1889, has since been dropped (see ...).
It remains therefore simply to inform the W.O. that we propose to inform them that the Secretary of State for War approves the arrangements proposed in 9865/9 with regard to the Military Reserve in question.

With reference to your letter dated 25th May 1892 forwarding copy of a further despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong regarding the proposed transfer of certain sites in Kowloon to the War Department, and the limits of a proposed War Department Reserve in the neighbourhood of those sites, I am directed by the Secretary of State for War to acquaint you, for the information of the Marquess of Ripon, that a settlement of the question regarding War Department lands at Hong Kong awaits a report from the General Officer Commanding at that station detailing the lands at Kowloon proposed for surrender.
