The War Department shall sell to the Admiralty

the rest of "F" Block, Queen's Road Barracks and the

Commissariat Buildings

"F" Block was acquired by

red and hatched in blue.

the War Department, as shown in paragraph 11 hereof, and

the lease of the Commissariat Buildings was purchased by

the War Department in 1852, the present (75 years) lease

expiring in 1919, but carrying with it the right of

renewal to complete a term of 999 years.

The Admiralty shall pay for this property a

fair market value

to be determined by valuation.

The War Department shall also, with the assistance if necessary of the Colony, transfer to the Admiralty

the user and practically unlimited and unfettered

possession for all Naval purposes of the portion of

Wellington Barracks, which is coloured pink and hatched

in blue

The property is held by the War Department

as Colonial Military property and if not required for

defence purposes would revert to the Colony, under the

conditions of the Colonial Office Circular Despatch of

the 9th June 1890, i.e., the value of the property

should be available either, at once, or in the future

for other defensive purposes in the Colony.

There is nothing in the terms of this Despatch

to prevent the transfer of the property to the Admiralty:
