No. 172.
Sir,
unclosed.
2.
Enclosure 3.
Surveyor General to Colonial Secretary.
Surveyor General's Office,
Hong-Kong 23rd March 1831.
I have the honour to forward an application from
Mr. Prosser, Assistant Land Surveyor, for an increase of
salary.
Mr. Prosser is a very competent ser Surveyor, and nearly the whole of the field work is done by him. I
consider that his salary is hardly a sufficient compensation
for the work he performs, but it is that fixeu by his agree-
ment for 3 years ending 19th of September 1892.
3.
I beg to recommend Mr. Prosser's case to the fa-
vourable consideration of His Excelleney the Governor in
connection with the preparation of the Departmental Esti-
mates for 1892.
( Sa.) S. Brown,
Surveyor General.
The Hon: Colonial Secretary.
