BRING at RE 15 JUN ke public my long grievance against the authorities, I attach to my correspondence with them this memorandum, in the wish to bring out clearly the salient points of my case. I hope that this brief narra- tion of the important points will interest some prominent and fearless member of Parliament, and will induce him to afford me his powerful aid by bringing my case in the usual way before the House-before the High Court of Parliament' as it is sometimes called-at an early date. I am no politi- cian, and shall be glad of assistance from any good and true man, on whatever side of the House he may chance to be.
The story which I have told in my letters is one that claims sympathy and should arouse indignation. It is the story of an honourable career robbed of its completion by the wrong-doing of the Commander-in-Chief and the fear of a Royal Duke, which many high State officials have not scrupled to allow to warp their sense of justice. In fact, as I stated in my letter to the Prime Minister (Brochure 15, p. 26)
