the subject of the examination of the Accounts of the Registrar of the Supreme

Lord Knutsford's Court Hong Kong, enquiring by

direction to what extent it might be necessary to increase the Auditor's Staff to enable him to undertake such examination . I

directed by the Comptroller and Auditor General to state that, while he is unable, from his present knowledge of these Accounts, to state very definitely what amount of extra labour would be thrown upon the Local Audit Department by their examination, he is of opinion that the utmost it would be likely to involve would be the services

of another Clerk at £100 per annum.
