Adverting to the letter from this Department of
the 2nd April 1890 (5172/90), I am directed by the Lords
Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to request you to
move the Secretary of State for the Colonies to cause Them
to be favoured with an early reply as to whether his
Lordship approves of the proposed quarterly consignments of
subsidiary coins for Hong Kong.
My Lords would also be glad to learn that the Secre-
tary ofState approves of the proposed Tariff for executing
Colonial Coinages subsidiary to the Dollar and Rupee.
