Three (3) Waste Detecting Meters are to be supplied.
They are to be of the pattern manufactured Ly Messrs Tylor &
Son, according to the verbal instructions given by är Üsbert
Chadwick.
The meters are to be positive meters. Two are to be of
one (1) inch diameter, and one of three quarters (3/4) inch
diameter.
Fach meter is to be provided with the ordinary registering
dial-work so that it may be used in the usual manner when desired.
The dial-work is to be easily removable, and so arranged
that it may be readily taken out and replaced by the faste-
detecting Clock work arul apparetus.
The Waste detecting clocks are to be provided with Balance
wheels and Hair-springs (not pendulous) so that strict vertic-
allity of position is not required in fixing the meter.
The three sets of waste detecting clocks are to be inter
changeable, so that each can be applied to either of the meters.
The meters are to be provided with connections for
wrought iron.
A plentiful supply of the requisite paper is to be sent
out with each meter.
For each Clock a spare hatr ann main-spring is to be
provided, an for each meter a spare set of cup-leathers.
