Sir.
I am commanded by my Lords Commissioners of the
Admiralty to transmit for the information of the Secretary of
State for the Colonies copy of a letter from Commodore Church dated at Hongkong the 11th December, together with copies of its enclosures, respecting a piratical attack on the S. S. Namoa belonging to MessTM Douglas, Lapraick &Co, which took place near Hongkong on the 10th December, also copy of a letter from the Commander in Chief on the China Station dated 8th January on the same subject.
