in considering to the salary of the Warden of the Gaol.

In 1875 the

salary

of the Warden was $1,200

per

annum and he was

lodged in the Gaol, and the present Warden would be so lodged

now were

there

there quarters available in

the Gaol.

As there are not,

Government has been

obliged to rent quarters for

as near the Gaol

Mr. Jones

as

possible.

These quarters cost

the Government #420 per

annum.

I do not consider –

that the lodging of a Gaol officer in the Gaol (and it is merely

an accident
