I have the honour to report to the Marriage Law of this Colony as follows:-
2. The Church of the Immaculate Conception was licensed by Fleming in the direction of Mr. ... in October last for the celebration of marriages.
3. An Ordinance has been prepared and will be introduced into the Legislature as soon as possible, which will have the effect of licensing the Church for the celebration of marriages from the time of its opening. This mode of meeting the difficulty has been adopted out of deference to the susceptibilities of Bishop Raimondi.
