On the 6th instant was received the following telegram from the Crown Agents:-
"We have received from the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank 6½ lacs of Rupees India 4% security local issue sent to replace Chinese Debenture Bonds drawn!"
Whereupon I authorized the Acting Colonial Secretary and Colonial Treasurer to release the F. Bonds referred to above, which has been accordingly done.
