Pending the receipt of your reply to this despatch the Crown Agents have been instructed to give half-pay pension at the rate specified in your despatch No. 63 of 9 Feb in your currency, i.e., at ... a year.
I have to request that in all future Pension papers, whether of Police officers or officers of the ordinary Civil Service, care be taken to express the rate at which the pension is calculated in terms of the local currency, i.e., The Dollar.
