Your Lordship's attention to the concluding words of the first paragraph of Sir G. William des Vaux's despatch above referred to, which show that he did not regard the vote in the light of a re-vote, but as a fresh vote.
entirely I believe I am correct in saying that Sir G. William des Vaux was well aware when he authorized the payment of the money that there would be considerable discussion of and opposition to
