The Committee of this Chamber have, on several occasions, had the honour of addressing you in reference to the lighting of the southern approach to the Harbour of Hongkong. When it was finally decided to fix on the Gap Rock as a most suitable site for a lighthouse,
The Committee consider it would add much to the usefulness of the Lighthouse if it were in direct communication with Hongkong,
At a recent meeting, it was resolved to bring to the notice of His Excellency the Officer Administering...
