We are willing to communicate with W.D. & that effect, but add with ref. to par. 3 of this despatch that $20,000 referred to then was not (according to 10435/90) paid out of the "Military Contribution" vote as indicated here in P.S. to despatch 22934/90, but out of the Vote for Defences (p.36 of 1890 Estimates), and will not therefore be revoted, but will require to be covered by the Supplementary Appropriation Ordinance for the services of 1890, which he has been told to introduce.
