As the Farmer is sending his brother to the Straits on the 5th inst. to explain matters, he is anxious that his proposal, together with the figures contained in the previous report of the 20th Dec. Last (p. 5.) should be laid before His Excellency at once,
that the loss which (on his own showing) he will still sustain, even if his proposal be accepted, may be made patent.
