Instructions regarding the building of the wing of a Prison contained in your despatchs No 273 and 274 of the 21st of November 1890, have been communicated to the Surveyor General who is preparing detailed plans and estimates for the building.

I have read this, as former reports with much dissatisfaction on account of the little done to provide decent accommodation on the present Prison Building

I request that you will call upon the Surveyor General to furnish plans and estimates for a new prison.
